Use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners with a soft microfiber cloth for cleaning, and store the board in a protective sleeve or case in a temperate environment.

Restoring a Scratched Carbon Fiber Surface

For those inevitable minor scratches, a meticulous polishing process can effectively restore the surface finish. The repair involves a two-stage approach: initial grinding followed by detailed polishing.

Stage 1: Sanding and Initial Polishing

The process begins by leveling the scratched area. Using a progressively finer set of wet sandpaper (often starting from 600 grit and moving up to 1000 or 2000 grit), carefully sand the affected zone, keeping it wet to prevent overheating. This step smoothens the scratches and prepares the surface for polishing. Thoroughly clean the surface afterward to remove all residue.

Stage 2: Fine Polishing and Finishing
